Reference sheet for zhhanun, a species of furry aliens. Top section shows the male and female variants of the species-- former having longer top hair, latter having a smaller upper torso and a softer body. Also included is a more detailed female face, a view of the paw and it's skeletal structure, a labeled map of the maw and teeth, a tongue with visible papillae for grooming, a comparison of slim and fat thanun bodies, and a height comparison between an average human and thanun.

past year or so had me drawing zhhanun regularly (namely my own sona) which came with a lot of changes as i better understood their body shape. and so they get a new ref!

a couple notes:

i went to embrace the less anthro parts of zhhanun. their thigh gap is bigger, and the flesh of the underbelly meets with the tail. their femurs are not thinner than their torsos, though, which is normally an anthro trait (see cloudbeasts, whose thighs are smaller than their torsos). i wanted a mix between anthro and non-anthro traits, so the thigh length is intentional. a concern of this might be them not being able to crouch down and assume a comfortable quadruped stance, which they’re supposed to be able to. i think it’ll be fine– at worst their tailbones will naturally rise, which i actually like :>

speaking of quadruped stance, this ref fails to show that! i intend to extend this ref with a couple extra images that show subspecies, internal organs, and other features.
